It's possible to play a sound from and XML aauge?

Hi,From all information to date it is not possible to control a sound file directly from XML. However, I have seen one post somewhere from someone who compiled a sound gauge (using C) contolled by a global variable which he did not use on his aircraft, and then used an XML gauge to control the variable.I am currently looking at doing that myself, but to date cannot vouch for it effectivenessif you wish to try it :-lolTrevor.

This sounds very interresting. I'm currently working on a rather complex GA panel, with xml gauges, but I miss the sounds. I don't know anything about C either, and don't have the time to learn :). Could you hint me if you get this working?Is it a static sound, or can you somewhat control which sound is played for each gauge?
