Problem: Door Not Animating

Featured Replies

Hi Everyone,I have two doors on my aircraft. One is a rotating-open door and I have tagged the object it is linked to as "door_passenger_01". It rotates open fine and follows the exits settings in aircraft.cfg fine. The problem is that when I get rid of that and apply the "door_passenger_01" tag to an object that animates a sliding door, it doesn't respond, as if it doesn't exist. I've recreated both doors several times and it is always the sliding one that fails. Also, if I name the object that animates the sliding door as "door_cargo_01", then it doesn't animate when I press Shift+E+2 or any number with Shift+E. I got instrument views popping up and went and removed their assignments, but still no luck.Anyone have an idea why either of these happen? Thanks,Rotorhead.

Remember with your sliding animations they need to start at frame 1 NOT frame 0 or else they won`t work.door_cargo will only work if you have 2 exits set up in the aircraft.cfg which you may well have done already... e.g[exits]number_of_exits=2exit_rate.0=0.4 exit_rate.1=0.4 To operate the second door in FS you need to press CTRL+E then release them, then and only then do you press 2 (don`t take too long about pressing 2 or else the main dorr will open/close).Chris
