can anybody explain the wing wizard in fsds. the documentation is sorely lacking. i understand how to make a template but do not know how to plug in the figures for the wing wizard to make the wing or vertical stabilizer. any help appreciated

Just experiment with the numbers, and you will see... :)Me, however, use tubes for the wings and stabs

WHile I differ on your perception of lack of documentation on the wing wizard, I do suggest that you consider using tubes for your wings, rather than the wizard.Typically, I'll start with just a basic - one section tube to get the "rough" shape, and then start adding cross sections where needed.

In my first FSDS project I tried the wizard but did not like the way the wings appeared as flat sheets in the perspective view. I did them over using tubes. Now, it seems that tubes can be used for almost every part of the plane. The other objects are too limited.John Woodward
