VC night lighting

Featured Replies

Hello all,I'm in design mode at long last but am having terrible frustrations in attempting to add night lighting to my virtual cockpit and gauges, Ive tried everything I know without success. My main tool for design is FSDS.Thanks in advanceGeorge

Hello,Add this to your aircraft.cgi under the lights section, adjust the second, third and fourth (X, Y and Z) figures and then change the 9 to your last light number and you're set.light.9=4, 5.5, -0.4, -0.95, fx_vclight ,Rotorhead.

Thanks for that info RH.It's the stock gauges that dont seem to light up as you can see in the screen shot. I've used Fs panel studio ( paid up full version) to put the panel together. I cant seem to find any reference in this program regarding this problem. If any body can help.....!

theres a way to create bright gauges in gmax by using lightmap textures as self-illumination map in the material editor. unfortunately it doesnt work in fsds since fsds doesnt support lightmap textures.tom(project airbus)
