Make Chaseplane work in career mode

Featured Replies

Hi, so Chaseplane as it is now does not support career mode, which Parallel 42 have officially stated here.

But I have discovered that it is possible to partially use it in career mode (at least on my PC) in the following way.

1. In free flight use the same plane that you are planning to use in Career Mode and load up any flight.

2. Exit free flight and enter career mode.

3. In career mode select the samme plane for your mission.

4. I dont know what happens under the hood, but Chaseplane sort of "sticks" to that mission and can be used if you have mapped your views on to your joystick like the joystick hat (Chaseplane is not available in the toolbar which is normal in career mode).

5. This stops working for the following mission - it bugs out.

6. To get it working again you then have to totally exit FS2024 and start again from number 1 (rinse and repeat).

Here is a video of me using Chaseplane on a mission in career mode. Let me know if any you have success with this method.

Edit: so I've found out that it doesn't have to be the same plane in free flight. You only have to activate one free flight with chaseplane running on any plane, then go to career mode.
