I am excited to announce the promotion of Ed Ward (WWA28) to Director of Online Operations and Events.

In his new role, Ed will be responsible for planning, promoting and managing online and offline flight events, as well as, responsibilities for all VATSIM pilot training and development for WestWind Virtual Airlines.

Joining WestWind in June of 1996, one of the first pilots to join, Ed brings a tremendous amount of experience and knowledge to his new position.  He has previously served as JFK Hub Manager, Chief Pilot & Executive Vice President of Training.

“In addition to my 30 year virtual career here at WestWind Airlines, I’m also a retired international Line Captain for a major firm and have flown in excess of 7,000 high performance jet hours along with 3,000 hours in general aviation light piston aircraft”, said Ed Ward in a recent interview.  “I also hold a current Certified Flight Instructor’s license with Instrument and Multi-engine endorsements.”

“Ed has a lot of great things already planned out. Looking forward, I know that Ed will continue to be an integral part of the airline and help drive us towards even greater success”, said WestWind CAO & Chief Pilot, John Condon.

Ed is a Senior Command Captain +5 with over 3,500 flight hours and holds a P4 - Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) rating with VATSIM.  He is currently assigned to WestWind’s JFK hub.

Please join me in congratulating Ed on his promotion to Director of Online Operations and Events.
