August 29, 200223 yr When these "T-Tail" aircraft are parked, why is the rear elevator and/or the rudder turned or left upright? It makes the aircraft look wierd like in this shot:Click here: http://www.airliners.net/open.file/227521/L/I am a stupid person so can someone explain this to me? August 29, 200223 yr I'm not 100% sure, actually I'm just taking a guess but it could be the weight of the control system and pushrods ect. weighs more than the elevator, so it pulls the elevator up when the plane is shut down. It is like in a Cessna, when theres no airspeed and the plane is parked the elevator hangs down because it weighs more than the yolk its pullin on. Just my thoughts.Paul Felz
