MegaBSB: MeganeX Superlight 8k to BSB Audio Strap Adaptor

Featured Replies

Dear AVSim community,

I’ve developed an adaptor which allows you to connect the Shiftall MeganeX Superlight 8k (either original or the new Mark 2) to the Bigscreen Beyond Audio Strap.

The adaptor retains the flip up display functionality of the MeganeX, while providing the ergonomic benefits and audio that the Bigscreen Beyond Audio Strap provides.

Here is how it works:

VRFlightSimGuy has recently reviewed it positively in his recent review of the Shiftall MeganeX Superlight 8k Mark 2 (about 2 minutes, 50 seconds in):

Hopefully it results in more comfortable sessions for those that have this headset.

Thanks,
Terry

About a month ago one of my customers in the ShiftAll English Discord channel asked for a modification to the design of the MegaBSB adaptor so that they could use it with the BeyondEx. He found that the BeyondEx was a bit heavier and that the MegaBSB didn’t have a top strap loop for it and he also wanted to use larger custom face pads from Globular Cluster.

In response, I made some modifications and sent him an ‘extended’ version of the MegaBSB. The customer seemed to be reasonably happy with it, so I’m releasing it to the general public:

This version can also be used with the BSB audio strap with larger face pads from the likes of Globular Cluster / Pimax etc.

Hope it comes in handy for someone here.
