Square LCD for custom cockpit gauges?

Hi everyone,

I'm currently putting together a home cockpit and I'm trying to move away from cropping regular monitors for the instruments. Square aspect ratio just works so much better for the gauges and engine displays.

While looking for suitable LVDS modules I came across this 10.3-inch 768x768 LCD  . It uses the standard 20-pin LVDS interface.

Has anyone here actually driven one of these in MSFS or X-Plane? What kind of controller/board are you using? Any issues with the low native resolution or mounting in a panel?

Would really appreciate any real-world experiences before I order one. Thanks!
