I was wondering if somebody knows if it exist au good 172 pannel where we can find an effective "carb heat" knob ?I tried any default cessna and I found no carb heat knob for all the cessnas, I can't beleave it !Is it possible a thing as basic as possible were not implemented in fs2k2 ?Most 172 in school in Canada airport have carb heat...We are a new group of 20 students and we wish to use fs2k2 to in complement to our cours.JP

The problem is that MSFS doesn't simulate carb. icing very good or even at all. At least I have not found evidence of that. So basically you can make a fake carb heat switch and put it on any panel yourself. You can even make a slight drop in RPM if you like. For a "real" carb. heater system, although it won't work, I believe there are some things to be set in the aircraft.cfg and/or .air file for the aircraft. It won't _do_ anything though.I sure hope FSCOF delivers realistic carb. icing (that is, _not_ limited to icing conditions).
