Registry key for installer?

Recommended Posts

Guest

Ok.. my question is this: I'm using install maker to create an autoinstaller. (Yes, yes.. I know, hehe). I'd like the program to check the registry for the location of FS2002 but I don't know what values I have to use in the install maker wizard for that to work. Any help is appreciated.Torsten

I don't know if this will help as I may have a different version to you.Under the "Wizard Options" tab there is a set of options under the heading "Installation directory". In the "Optional get it from registry base" I have it set as follows:Root key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINEKey: SoftwareMicrosoftMicrosoft GamesFlight Simulator8.0Subkey: EXE PathIt worked fine for what I was doing. Hope that help point you in the right direction.RegardsDavid G
