Flying the BAe146/RJ85?

Recommended Posts

I am starting to fly the BAe 146 (Mike Stone/Matthias Liebrecht) and I was wondering if others were having these strange things happen...The autopilot really screws up on altitude hold in turns over 20 degrees. I'm talking about drops of thousands of feet! It also is really over-shooting the turns (15-20 NM off course for a 45 degree turn). The in-dash flaps indicator moves 0-5-20-40 where as the on throttle quadrant flaps are marked 0-5-10-TO-20-... Which is correct?Fuel planning. How do people plan for fuel consumption. The MS flight planner is useless as it quite happily tells me that I will consume 500 gallons of fuel when in reality I consume more than 1200 gallons. In more general terms, any hints/suggestions/methodology for flight planning, flap schedules and speeds for these birds? My flight sim rig is as follows:P3/1GHz, 512Mb mem, FS2002 Pro, FSmeteo, Radar Contact 3.1Thanks!-david-
