Create Aircraft in Autocad

Featured Replies

Hi, I need some help: I use FS2000 only as a visualizator and I need to design the external appearence of a glider. Is it possible to design it by a 3D CAD program, like Autocad, Katia, Pro/E etc and import it in FS2000?If not, someone can advise me on the best aircraft designer?

If I were you, I'd look in to getting FS Studio Pro. Version 1, if it is still avalible, can be setup to import DXF formated files and then can export directly to FS2000. Not sure if version 2 will export to FS2000, thought there is a switch for it in Preferances. However, and someone correct me if I am wrong, version 2 does NOT import DXF files. You really don't need those high dollar programs, but if you already have them and can work well in them, you are still going to need a low dollar program to export to FS2000, or learn how to compile using another method.

DXF to FSDS1.6 (via CVA plugin) to FS2000.FSDS2 does not support import of dxf files/ (no importer available yet)Felix/FFDSPegasus Aviation Design
