Logitech Wheel MS Joystick problem?

I have this racing wheel. When I install MS Flight simulator 2004 and hook up my MS Sidewinder joystick the FS works just fine. But after I'm done and plug in my wheel cyber demons attack my computer. I start getting error messages and when I double click on Icons my computer reboots. I do go into game controller before I do this and pick the wheel from the list. The wheel is usb and the joystick plugs into my sound card. If anyone could help he through this I would be very greatful!!
