Raindrops

Featured Replies

Here is some new information on raindrops on VC windows. This is for FSDS2.1. First, I copy and pasted the windshield, renamed it, and checked the box for transparent textures. The polygons were flipped to point inward.2. The new windshield was deleted from the main model and added to the VC.3. One of the VC rain textures from the FS main texture folder was applied to the inside of the windshield. At this point, stationary raindrops will show on the windshield. I supect that the motion is caused by some type of animation sequence. There are 16 textures for the aircraft stopped and 16 for it moving. Something must cause FS to cycle through these to make the drops move across the windshield.I could not find anything in FSDS2 or in the aircraft and panel files that would trigger the effect. Hopefully someone will figure it out.John Woodward
