The January issues of both Flying Magazine and Plane and Pilot have articles on the new Garmin G1000 Flat Screen Cockpits. Cessna has announced that they will offer the new C182 with a dual display G1000 flat screen option. It looks incredible to see a 182 with a PFD and MFD display only on the dashboard of the cockpit (picture on the cover of P&P). It should be fun to redo the Flight Sim aircraft with these new G1000s when someone creates the gauges.
