Creating Modules...

Featured Replies

I have a few questions about creating modules in FS- Does anybody here have experience doing this? I'm wondering if it's possible to dynamically add or modify scenery through a module- better yet how to do it- I would guess Lago's FS Scenery Enhancer does this- but how? I'd like to create a module that would allow SAR helicopters to be much more realistic- ropes and winchs that actually interact with scenery. Essentially I'd like to create a package that mimics the missions in SAR4. My C++ is a little rusty- can you create .dlls in VB 6 (I imagine you can- just don't know how). I'd like some insight since it seems difficult to find any documentation on this subject. Does anybody have a list of objects or methods for an FS addon? Any help would be much appreciated.

Can nobody help me with this?

What I do know is that VB6 seems to be out for creating modules in FS...I have somewhere some source for creating modules, but it is in C++, which I haven't mastered at all. All my FS programs have been written in VB6 and have either used FSUIPC or FSConnect to interface with MSFS. I've forwarded the source to some C++ experts, and it's found it's way into a couple of module add-ons... But it's mostly Latin to me :)-John
