asign different smoothing group for the top surface and the bottom surface.

That will solve the problem, but when i apply the different smoothing group i loose the poli smoothing option, and the wing looks ugly.Any other way to fix the problem??Jorge

ok,split the bottom and the top of your wing into two separate parts. now re-join them (using attach tool). select ONLY the vertices of the front edge of the wing and use a "snap to scale" (0.001 should work). idea behind is that polys of the rear edge use different vertices and become "unsmoothed" there.tom
