Modelling question help VERY apriciated !!

Hey i have some questions i would apriciate if someone could answear them. Is there a way to get models from 3dmax into fs2004, or at least gmax (that way i can use the tools in gmax for fs2004)???,secondary to that, but almost as important, is there a way to convert, or open fs2004 files in max, or convert gmax files into a format max can read ???? .I thought that max could do this natively, but i guess i was wrong. There is a gmax plugin in max, but as far as i can tell, i cant figure out what it does, it doesnt seem to do anything. Now, .3ds format is probably the most widely accepted format there is, and i think gmax can read it natively, but I KNOW that max can.So if someone can find a tool that can convert gmax, max, or fs2004 models into 3ds format, that would do the trick.Of course, max format is preferred, its a better format than 3ds, but 3ds will work, and is much more likely to be found. Anyway, if anyone can help me with that, it would be EXTREMELY helpful, and i think its something that someone here can help me with.

Check out this site: http://www.pandasoft.demon.co.uk/directxmax4.htmThis plugin allows you to export to the "x" file format that is used by the makemdl compiler to create models for FS. If your model is in MAX, install the plugin and you will be able to export to the x-file format. The you will have to run makemdl as a separate program (just double click the icon) and in the source file area, browse for the *.x file you exported with MAX. Be warnedthough, this might not always work as planned :)Oh yeah, to answer your second question, http://www.scriptspot.com/bobo/darkmoon/bff/using.htmlThis plugin is actually a script. WHen you run it, it takes all the model data from the 3dsmax model and saves it in a folder along with a maxxscript. THen, you go to gmax (empty file) and go to Maxscript>Run Script menu and look for the script file that you saved. It works VERY well. It won't corrupt the model like exporting to the *.3ds format will. Highly recommended :)
