Aileron trim switch in Gmax (xml question)

Featured Replies

Hello all,i'm new to this here forum a far as posting goes but i do regularly check here for any interesting things. Anyway, i have a question regarding my F27 project. Me being an aspiring XML programmer-wannabe-but-do-not-have-a-clue-what-i-am-doing type of person i am trying to get to grips with this XML stuff.I am in need of a 3-position switch for my VC that controls aileron trim. Sort of like the starter rocker switch in the stock DC3.What's needed is that the switch activates the trim motor as long as it's being held to either 2 of 3 positions (left - right and centered to neutral). This differs from any rocker switch i have found so far in that these go back to neutral after a certain time. I would like to keep it in position as long as it is clicked there, but it is not necessary. So if it functions like the starter rocker and controls aileron trim i would be very pleased already.I have been trying to understand what the starter rocker is all about in the xml file but i must admit i'm being rather unsuccessful converting that to my aileron trim wishes. So what i really need is to modify the dc3 starter rocker switch to control the aileron trim on my F27.From what i have read on this forum, this forum seems to be the most active one regarding XML hence my posting here. I do hope someone here can get me on the way on this...For more info on my project just visit the project site:www.f27-project.tk(i have come a long way with assistance of many ;-) )thanksgrtzWillem
