how to make elevator trim movement??

Featured Replies

Hi there:here is my problem, in my airplane all the horizontal stabilizer should move when i press the elevator trim button, how can i make this happen, and i think the elevator should be a parent part of the horizontal stab??Thanks in advanceJorge

In gMax, all we do is name the stabilizer "trimtab_elevator" and then link the elevator to the stabilizer. That way, then the stabilizer moves, the elevator won't be left floating in mid air. If my memory serves me rightly, your an FSDS2 modeller? I think the aspect will be the same, might aswell give it a go!Some points, make the "pivot point"(in gMax) align with the side of the fuselage, so there won't be any gaps between the stabilizer and the fuse when it rotates, and also any sort of elevator trim will be called "trimtab_elevator", there is no need to add _01 or _whatever on the end, if i remember rightly it doesn't even work it you do! What i'm trying to say is you can have multiple trimtab_elevator's! Here are two pictures to show what I mean!http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/92985.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/92986.jpgHopefully this clears it up a bit? If you need anymore help just ask!
