Please Help

[Guest A320 Co-Pilot]

I have made a panel for an Airbus A320-200, with Captain, First Officer,Pedstal and Overhead. I have a problem with the co-pilot and captain views. The captains panel is to high and looks into the sky, the co pilots looks in to the ground. I no you have to alter someting in the panel.cfg, but what. Someone please help.

Have now installed Transparent panel, Co-pilots panel is in right place but captains is still looking into the sky. I have changed the default view X,Y, this brought the Co-Pilots panel Level with the Captains and then I used the view_forward_dir to get them both to the right height. Is this the right way to sort this problem out or should default view change both panels ?. Thanks for the help. I am reasonable new to this panel making so it is nice to have found somewhere I can get help.

My pleasure, happy to help. My personal philosophy: If it looks right, and works in the way you intended, then it is right. :) There are often many ways to accomplish the same goal.That being said. I would restore the default view to x=0 and y=0, then add a views section to the top of the config if not present and change the dir there. This way all panels that are overlaying the tranparent panel are looking in the same dir.Here is a copy of my own config. It is heavily commented for my own navigation and a bit messy as its a work in progress. This config results in the normal outside view (accessed by pressing W) being at 0,0 then the transparent overlay (shift 1) is at the coords set in the [views] VIEW_FORWARD_DIR of 4.5. The captians panel is accessed with (shift 2) and shares the same view as the transparent panel. The co-pilot and lowered full panel views are set higher so that they will not normally be triggered by a (shift #) which results in one panel partially obscuring another. All panels are toggled with a special sim-icon created for that purpose that closes the one window and opens the other.The lower image on the screenshot I posted called steady progress (a few postings below this one) shows the captain and first officer panels simply glued together with no mods. size X and Size Y correspond to the viewing area of the window. The sizing I have gives me a black bar about 1/3 the height of the sreen at the bottom. This helps hide the ugly anti-aliasing line around the outside edges of the lower panel.CheersShad
