July 27, 200520 yr Is it possible to "add" something to an existing aircraft model? For instance: Could you repaint a 747 to NASA livery and add the mounting brackets for the shuttle.Or put a winch on the side of a Coast Guard chopper?Just curious.
July 27, 200520 yr Only if you have the aircraft's source (i.e. gmax or fsds). There is no means to decompile an aircraft into its source, except for a few very ancient FS98 style aircraft for which was written a crude utility. -John
July 27, 200520 yr Do you happen to know where I can find this utility? I have a few aircraft I released for FS5 (later converted to FS98) which I have long since lost the source to. Even though they are really low-res, I wouldnt mind being able to get at the source data.Dan
July 27, 200520 yr I can't recall the name for the utility I'm afraid. It was an old DOS based utility and I believe it decompiled to SCASM code, but I'm not certain that's how it worked.-John
