May 4, 200224 yr Can someone tell me how to delete airplanes from scenery I've downloaded?I realize it's probably a big "no-no", and I don't really want to do it, but I'm trying to think of ways to speed up an old computer. Thanks a lot. I do appreciate any ideas, etc.Jack
May 4, 200224 yr Author Are you talking about static aircraft? read the readme file that came with the scenery - sometimes designers will tell you how to remove static aircraft from their scenery. I always make a seperate .bgl for this exact reason, so all you have to do is delete that particular file to get rid of static aircraft. So, if it doesn't mention it in the readme file, try emailing the designer and see if he can help you.- Martin My site: www.martinstrong.com/FS_Project.htm
May 5, 200224 yr Hi Martin,Thanks for the help. I do appreciate it.Yeap, it's the static aircraft I'm wanting to remove.
May 5, 200224 yr Author Well, like I said - if the readme file does not tell you how to do it, then email the designer and ask him if it's possible.- Martin My site: www.martinstrong.com/FS_Project.htm
May 5, 200224 yr Indeed, a lot of designers will do it if asked. I've done it a few times myself (asked, and removed). Rob D.
May 6, 200224 yr Roger that!Sometimes, not always, there may be a bgl in the form ofKBUR_Static.bgl. It would be rare!.Of course, now I have to do the same to mine!

This is what I do, except I don't give the BGL's obvious names. If someone emails me, though, I just email them back and tell the m which BGL to delete - too easy.- Martin My site: www.martinstrong.com/FS_Project.htm
