June 12, 200223 yr Although most of the support emails I've received have died down, one recently cropped up which highlighted a suggestion made by another user. Landclass Assistant 1.2 allows automatic update of the landclass.inf file. That's the good news. The bad news--on some international systems, Windows is configured to use a comman in place of a period to represent decimals. So 50.5 degrees longitude is actually written to landclass.inf as 50,5Microsoft's resample tool chokes on this, creating a bgl, but sending the scenery off into "la la land". The fix: After updating landclass.inf, open it up in Notepad and change the comma in all the lat/lon entries back to a period...I have a feeling several international users gave up on my proggie altogether thinking it just wouldn't work--which is sad, as I had international users in mind when I originally wrote the proggie. BTW--be sure to check out my Mexico City landclass update in the file library. I'll be working on Frankfurt, Zurich and Amsterdam next....Regards,John, Author - Landclass Assistant
