FS Meteo?

Featured Replies

Could someone please advise me on this. There's a lot of talk about it over on the FlightMax Forum and I'm curious as to what it does and if it's freeware....Cheers,Boone

FsMeteo is a weather program. Much like the Jeppsens that is included in Fs2002, but Fsmeteo is far far more powerful. It will update at a specific time you tell it to, and recreate the wx in your current environment alot better than the default MS one. I think if you were to get it, you would be very very pleased with the result. As you have probably read, it is very soon to be intergrated into FSFlightMax, which from the screenshots i have seen are remarkable. Marc Philbert is the author, and you can read about it here:http://www.fssharecenter.com/fsmeteowd/One of the Avsim Staff did a short review on various utilitys and addons of which FsMeteo was included:http://www.avsim.com/pages/1100/utility1/u...w_part_one.htmlHope this helps you out a littlehttp://www.avsim.com/vfr_center/avsim_sig.jpg

Thanks for the info Aidan, really appreciate it.Boone

It actually recreates your exact current weather. The Jeppsen download is delayed by sevral hours so when its raining in your town its not as far as the jeppsen reports are concerned. MS Meteo contacts the nearest real world weather station based on your aircrafts current position at the time it updates.Pete
