I am looking for pictures/drawings/specs for those approach lights that you see at the end of runways that are arranged off the ground on tier-like structures. I don't even know what they are called, but if anyone has info on them I would appreciate it. I want to model them/it in gMax.

Hi Tom(I think)there are several different companies that manufactureapproach lighting systems Honeywell,Siemens come to mind. Also thepylons that the lights are mounted on have changed over the years as well the real old ones were built almost like bridges(a lattace of small iron gerders while the newer ones are mounted on flangeabletubeular mounts.(I have several types modeled BTW.) Hope this is of some help.

Hey Dan,Thanks for the reply! Do you have these modeled in gMax? If so, do you mind sharing them? I would accept any form you want to give me. API's made from fsregen, gmax files w/ appropriate textures (I can do the texturing), etc. Let me know!

Hi give me a day or two( the models are in 3DS max) I will put the textures and the meshes into gmax and then I will send you a message.

Hey Dan,I made my own in gMax and I think they were too complicated because my frame rates dropped significantly when I put five of them in FS! I hope yours are more friendly. I don't know why I made them complicated. You only see tham for a brief time on approach anyway.
