What does the exclude switch do?

Hey y'all!Just needed clarrification on the exact purpose for exclude switches. I am using some old scenery (A2K v1) and am curious as to whether or not an exclude line will fix texture bleed thru. I tried to add one for Nice, but it didn't seem to do anything. Of course, I may have done it incorrectly tho. Any help?Thanks in advance!-drew
