Placing effects in the scenery.

Featured Replies

Actually I asked this question already under another topic, but in order to get some input I do it again. To put it simple I am trying to place fxstrobe effect on the animated "follow me" truck. Can this be done and if yes then how? I have read that Fsregen can do the trick, but with certain limitations. However, whenever I open Fsregen in order to read fseffects it crashes with "runtime error 53". I have read SDK material about the effects. Pretty interesting and promissing stuff specially in "controller" part. I was fascinated to learn that sound effects could be placed withing scenery and triggered in set proximity of the viewer. I would like to learn more about the effects and how you plant them into the scenery. Ted

Hi Ted!Actually I do not if effects can be included into dynamic objects, but in static scenery it is nicely possible. I used some smoke on chimneys. You can place effects in scenery using the program included in effects SDK, You can use NOVA or You can use a little program that makes API's, called FSEffects, on this site http://www.echos.ch/eod/fsfx.htm.Hope it helps You and sorry not to reply You two days before...Regards,Goran BrumenFS Slovenija 2002 teamhttp://slovenia.avsim.net
