Suspension bridge cables

I would like to draw a suspension bridge using FSDS2. What is the right way to draw cables? I think making them from tubes would create too many polygons. Thanks,John Woodward

In FSDS go to the Parts properties and select "Lines" instead of "Solid". May be you can make two models, one with lines and another with tubes. Then you would use the Scenery Complexity Settings to determine which model to use. Also note that Lines are "highly visible" at great distances. Regards, Luis

my reommendation is to build a structured rectangular part with the number of segments equal to the number of vertical lines you want, the width equal to the bridge width. Then you can sculpt the top to take the shape of the line "swoop". Once your happy, Delete the "top" and "bottom" polygon and set the display style to "lines", and you'll just see the lines that define the segments on both sides at once.Bob Bernstein
