Smearing textures with certain weather

This was common in FS2K but I thought it was a thing of the past with FS2K2. Two nights ago, landing at JFK in near-minimum conditions with the PIC767, the textures started to "smear". Also, if I looked out the side window in 2D and changed back to front view, the side view was superimposed over the front view. I know many of you will remember this from FS2K. At first I thought it was PIC but other planes did it too. I cleared the weather and it went away. Recently, the weather has improved and I haven't seen it since. Anyone else experience this lately?DavidP4 2ghz GEForce Ti4600
