May 4, 200224 yr I've browsed around the Paint Kits of the POSKY 747, which is FSDS, and the POSKY A330, which is GMAX. In the A330, you just have to paint the day textures and FS will generate the night textures for you using the day file (T.bmp) and the lighting file (L.bmp), but in the 747, you have to paint both day and night textures. It has been proven because I looked in the files of the default GMAX aircraft, the same thing as the A330. Why in FSDS you have to paint by yourself the night textures?http://www.someplacesomewhere.com/uploaded/9vsve/sig.jpg
May 4, 200224 yr Hi "Z" one of the reasons is because Gmax ueses a newer type of fileformat (newer bgl type) that is directly compatable with FS2002 and FSDS has to use (at least untill they digest the make .mdl sdk) and update the way that FSDS handles all 3D objects not just aircraft. Also from what I understand 2002 will be the last version to usethe above older file types with all their short commings. If you are interested take a look some of the post over in the wrongly named"scenery" forum (it should be called the modeling forum) to avoidconfusion. Anyway I hope this helps.http://members.rogers.com/klasik2/danlogo.gifhttp://members.rogers.com/eelvish/flyurl.gif
