I do not know the capabilities of EOD making light poles but in FS Design Studio I would use landing light (part named Light.Landing) to make lighted ground. The SCASM code for such light isLight( 0 5 x z y ....), where 5 is used for Landing light, 3 for taxi light, 0 for just a light source etc...
