the makemdl sdk has some info...basically to use the per part lod mechanism, you make two models of different complexity. Name the first model whatever_LOD_100 and name the simple one whatever_LOD_95....then group them, and name the group root_whateverplay with the numbers, you'll begin to get a feel for when the pop occurs.Bob Bernstein
