TerraScene to FS9

I had made my entire state with Near Photo Quality Terascene texture for FS2002, now I just want to replace roads, rivers, and lakes in FS9. Would you suggest TerraScene or another program.I just want to replace the default rivers, lakes and roads. If I remember once quite a time back, when I set unwanted texture to transparrent things didn't go well. Anyone used TerraScene to replace just rivers, lakes, andd roads? If anyone has suggestions, I would be greatful.Richard L Hill;
