How to remove apron / taxiway signs

Featured Replies

HiI made a new airport over an existing one. I removed the runway, traxiways and buildings using the flatten tags and compiling it via BGLC into a BGL file. I did NOT use the flattten switch in the scenery.cfg as this would also have exlcudeded the new scenery I am designing. So now I have the rpoblem that I want to get rid of all these small black yellow runway/taxiway signs .. how can I do that? writing a single exclude swtich for every signs is deadmans work I guess, any other chance??thanks for any answerMario :-)

You said you removed the runways, taxiways and building using the flatten tags...Do you really mean you are using the exclude commands? If you have a big enough exclude area it will remove the taxisigns as well.Bear in mind that a large exclude area will also exclude autogen so your airport surroundings will look bare. FS2004 autogen objects look good and I try to keep them around my airports. If you are using Airport for Windows and don't mind making a lot of exclude areas, then you can create exclude boxes around groups of taxiway signs to remove them without affecting pother objects.

Thanks for your answerthat's the point, I also use autogen inside the airport area (mostly trees) so I can't draw one huge exclude area ... is there any easier way to remove the twxiway signs?thanksMario
