May 5, 200224 yr I am interested in doing mostly IFR flights with approach and vectors to final how or where do I find instructons to set up FS2002 pro for that putpose ? thanks Chas
May 5, 200224 yr From the first menu on the left-hand side of the menu bar (is that called "Flights?"), select the Flight planner. Choose a departure airport and a destination airport, then cleck the IFR box. Decide if you want a direct route (GPS), low altitude airways (below 18,000') or high altitude jet route (above FL180), then click the "Find Route" button. Once the flight plan has been saved and you click "OK," you'll find your route already loaded into your GPS. Bring up ATC (~ Key) and you'll find an option to contact Clearance Delivery. From there on, follow the directions of the controllers. It pretty intuitive and after a time or two you'll be an expert. Two cautions:1. Don't choose airport too near each other. MSFS's ATC starts vectoring you toward your final about 80 Nm out so make sure the airports ar at least that far apart.2. Read the ATC options carefully. Usually, the correct response to an ATC instuction is to press the "1" key but sometimes "1" is the action required to request a visual approach or cancel IFR.I hope this is helpful. R-
May 5, 200224 yr Also, which was very frustrating check the air pressure outside, i had many times that the pressure was too high or low, too maintain airspeed with AP turned on and got my Flightplan canceled.I havent tried it yet, so cant help you further with it but others surely can :)Greetz,Paul
May 5, 200224 yr Paul, what do you mean?you perhaps mean you're not at the altitude you should be?when you're under the transition alitude press the "b" key.your altimeter will be adjusted for the current pressureregards,Seba
