Maybe a fun idea...

With hours of flying over not so interesting scenery would it be fun to make a gauge or module where you can browse the net and listen to mp3's.Like with winamp little browser it can be implemented and mp3 wouldnt be such a problem i think.I am not a programmer but maybe others outthere will like the idea :-)Other ideas could be:- automute when ATC needs your attention.- airfield information through the web- weather reports through the net- send a email to your buddies with a attached screen you just took- icq/msn like communication or even IRC.- displaying scenery pictures attached to your coordinate (google images?)What do you guys think of that idea? if yes any other thingies which needs attention :)

You can download a gauge that allows you to play wav or mp3s etc, just search for MP3 in the usual sites :)

Here's a tip: Winamp supports DDE commands. That means a little gauge could command Winamp. I just play winamp in the back while I fly. When I task switch neither program minds. Winamp's a nifty little program and I love the skins. Thanks for all the reply's, i know that there are applications to run in the background that does this. I was just juggling with the idea of a allround multimedia tool to use while flying, which can react with the aircraft and its position and surrounding.:-)its always nice too dream heheGreetz,Paul
