Gemax

Hi guys, I am tring to learn all this Gmax stuff, but I am having a few problems, when it comes too texturing. For example i build a box, and want to put a texture on it from flight sims texture folder. but no matter what I do or how I do it nothing shows up on it. I have followed some tutorial's but am still not having any luck. Any help would be great.
