October 21, 200322 yr I am an active duty C-5 Pilot.I am interested in finding someone who is willing to create a freeware application that can take NIMA (national imagery and mapping agency) data: Georectified imagery and Digital Terrain Elevation Data, and convert it to MSFS scenery files. The application is a desktop simulator that allows us to practice approaches at unfamiliar fields for which we have terrain and imagery data. We need something that can accept these files "on the fly" and spin us a flyable scenery. This is a serious but exploratory effort, freeware, glory only, but a chance to help out some military pilots if you are interested. Anyone who is interested in this project, please e-mail me directly at:[email protected] A. GARRETSON, Major, USAFC-5 Aircraft Commander, Dover AFB, DE
