Using my v.3 Trees Library in FS2004

Recommended Posts

Guest GerrishGray

I have been getting lots of enquiries about using trees_v3.zip with FS2004. Those who subscribe to my newsletter/support service got the answers long ago, but for newcomers and those who don't bother to register :-The present version of my Trees Library (trees_v3.zip) works fine in FS2004. The key is that you need to place the library file, trees_0.bgl, in the new 'base' scenery folderscenerybasesceneryThe textures still belong intextureYes, yes, I know that lots of you think that you can put them in different folders and litter duplicate copies all over your scenery library because it seems to work ... but what you don't see is the endless mails I get from people who see white billboards instead of trees because this practise can get FS totally confused so that it finds the library objects OK but then can't correctly locate the textures to go with them. So please DON'T go putting the files in other folders and DO make sure that you delete any duplicate copies you find in 'local' ..scenery and ..texture folders etc.ThanksGerrish
