ils exclude in fs2004

Featured Replies

Hi all,.just checking if by chance someone knows if it is already possible to exclude the default fs2004 ils when designing new scenry..as far as I remember it was not yet possible...if someone knows..please let me knowcheersTicosimmer

It is not possible to exclude default ILS. But you can move them and edit them with AFCAD2.If you want to permanently exclude a default ILS, I found no other way than disassembling the default file that contains the data, erase the offending ILS, and compile the file again, which is a little bit messy.Joaquin

Thanks Joaquin..But if I move the default ILS with AFCAD..will it really save the chnages???As far as I know it wont save any changes..cheers

Yes, the last version of AFCAD2 does save the changes when you move or edit an ILS, but you have to keep the identifier, for the changes to override the default. If you modify the identifier, then the old ILS reappears and you would have two ILSs.What this means is that there is a check for matching the identifiers, and as long as they match, the edited ILS actually "excludes" or overrides the default one. If the identifiers don't match, FS2004 just thinks it is a completely new ILS, AND keeps the default one.I recommend you to read the AFCAD2 documentation of the last version, it tells you very thouroughly about the things that the program can do and cannot do.With markers for example it is a totallly different story. You never exclude or get rid of the default ones.Regards
