Hi all: I am currently trying to setup a pretty realistic Boeing 747 cockpit environment. This entails being able to simultaneously view both the Captain and First Officer instrument panels. Solution? Multiple-monitors with a Captain panel on one and a First Officer panel on the other. Problem --- a ferocious frame-rate hit. The panels themselves are no "Biggie" but the respective outside view windows are real killers. My "screaming" 3.4 Ghz computer (with all sliders turned off) can generate upwards of 40 frames per second. But with an outside view window created on a second monitor that FPS drops down to around 7.5. NOT good. Anyone got a satisfactory answer for this one?
