texture problem

Recommended Posts

Guest 46th_Terror

I am trying to make a scenery object for fs2004. I can create the object in g-max and texture map it. But no matter what I do the texture wont show in the game. My object is gray. this tells me that the mapping took but it just isnt showing. Any help here would be greatly apreciated.

What format are your textures in? 8, Extended 16, 24 or 32 bit? FS does not support 24 bit bitmap files for scenery/aircraft. gMax supports 8, 24 and 32 bit image files, so 8 bit is the best to start with.Where did you place the texture files? Commonly during the building process it is best to keep your textures in the C:gmaxMaps directory then make copies to the texture sub-directory of the sim (in the proper format) like your scene would be in ..Addon Sceneryscenery and the textures would be in ..Addon ScenerytexturesLou
