Runway Assignment in FS9

Featured Replies

I have recently downloaded Airport Environment Upgrade 6 (by Chris Arrington). Magnificent textures! Thanks to Chris. So my question is: how can I change texture assignment to the certain airports in FS9? Example: texture "runway12.bmp" is ideal for airport Szczecin EPSC(the closest airport to me) but FS9 uses texture "runway10.bmp". Where that information is included in FS9? I know my language may be ridiculous for experienced scenery creator, sorry for that. And finally last question: what is the best (and easy) program to create scenery for FS? And how can I get it? Thanks in advance. brgds marcin

Hello Marcin,Hey, I can relate. The easiest program to modify default runways and taxiways is AFCAD2 by Lee Swordy. You can easily add, remove, and modify taxiways, runways and aprons. Best of all this program is VERY easy to use. You'll have to expiriment with the different runway textures to get the correct one because they aren't named by their corresponding textures, eg. runway12. You can find the program in the file library by searching afcad2*.zip. AFCAD2 does not allow you to create or modify buildings or structures however,(thats planned for the next version) you might want to try Airport for Windows or SceneGenX (a program that allows you to place autogen structures in your scenery, both can be found at http://www.airportforwindows.com) for adding stuctures. If you want to create your own objects, try Easy Object Designer by Matthias Bruckner.
