need help with FSSC

Recommended Posts

Guest AlaskaBound

I am using (or trying to) FSSC with FS2004 in windows xp. I set the directories and such, then attempted to add a couple of buildings to a default grass strip in maryland. After exporting the scenery and opening FS2004, I get the message that fs has seen the new scenery and it rebiulds the scenery database. When I go to the airport tho, the buildings do not show up. I checked the location and elevation in FSSC.Any ideas what is going wrong?ThanksRob

Hi Rob! How are you building your buildings? ;)Are you using FSSC's building feature under the 3D object menu? Or are you using a separate macro? Also, check the scenery library in FS and make sure your scenery is listed, and make sure that your coordianates in FSSC are correct.Best RegardsBrandon

I could be wrong, but the scenery may not be getting added to the scenery library correctly. (FS9 does things differently then FS2002 did, and FSSC hasn't been updated for FS9 yet.) Try adding your scenery to the library manually and telling FSSC not to edit the scenery.cfg. (Adding it manually also makes sure FSSC doesn't try to add it twice or change it's position in the list if you move it.) When you add scenery to FS9 normally, it creates a "New Scenery.cfg" file which it then does stuff with next time it's started. This is totally different from FS2002."Let me help you out. You're cleared to taxi any way you can to any runway you see."
