A flight simulation with regular patches & updates! Sometimes as many as 3 a week! Thanks for the link rich!

Another sim of interest, and also free, is Orbiter....Take a look at it here:www.orbitersim.comWords can't even begin to describe the way this sim fills the niche of space travel....John, KPHX

Thanks for the link John. This looks like a wonderful addition and a real change-of-pace. I've only played around with it for an hour but I already share your enthusiasm. (And I thought landing a 744 was hard.....)Trip

I love lunar lander sims, thx dogmouse! I'll give it a try!

And though it hasn't been updated for a while, let's not forgethttp://www.fasterlight.com/exoflight/index.html>Another sim of interest, and also free, is Orbiter.... >>Take a look at it here: >>www.orbitersim.com >>Words can't even begin to describe the way this sim fills >the niche of space travel.... >>John, KPHX

I think the exoflight project is probably history--and it was the project I was looking forward to the most. :(

Look really stunning.when I read the thread I thought orbiter was like a small Lunar lander you know the 1980 version... :-)Hurry up litle modem I want to see it tonight....Dan

orbiter is a fine sim, this lunar lander looks good too.thanks for the link!

1980 version. The last one I used, loaded via punched tape into a teletype!like the golf game and the ASCII Mona Lisa! ;-)

Oh, that sucks.Do you think it's history because the site hasn't changed?Andrew>I think the exoflight project is probably history--and it >was the project I was looking forward to the most. :(

you mean the nude woman we had on ascii print was mona lisa ?I didn't recall Mr. Vinci was so an hot painter :)Dan"old timer"

For those that still didn't downloaded ORBITER. a small screenshottaken from author's site.Amazing, this guy worked alone during two years and his sim is absolutely GREAT. Also the animation is really as smooth as silk.this make me deeply think about fs2002 where so many programmer worked during so long time... and I would not qualify animation as "smooth as silk" even if you get 30 fps.Dan
