Landclass Table - where?

Recommended Posts

I've been looking for an up-to-date table of all of the LandClasses, their properties and textures they use. I already have Arnaud's "landclasses.xls" table which is an amazing piece of work, However, I find it a bit hard to read (apart from being in French) and incorrect in some places. In particular, I need to find out which land classes use "internal" autogen (NOT .AGN file). I have also been on the trail of Gerrish's Landclass table athttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/91196.zipbut, as the link is innactive, the trail grows cold. Does anyone have an updated version of this file, or any other file with the Landclass autogen info? Thanks,Misho

Hello,Joachim wrote in his document, that he decide to give you some test files and batch data (you will find in the zip file) for autogen.Microsoft did indeed an incredible landclass system. And you can not show all the variations with screenshots. But it is easy to test, with Joachims files for the area or region you are interested.Horst

Hi,You'll find autogen info regarding landclasses at various slopes in the following file :http://arnaud.clere.free.fr/FlightSimulator/landclasses.xlsIt's in french but if I tell you that :feuillus=deciduouspins=coniferarbustes=shrubsimmeubles=buildingsmaisons=housespalmiers=palm treesjeunes=young=somewhat smaller than averagearbres=trees~=fewYou should be able to avoid many trials and errors !Please keep in mind that there may be some slight changes from area to area (someone in this forum showed that autogen could be added to some classes in the B area while it never worked for me in the A area).Hope it helps.Arnaud
