August 20, 200520 yr First of all, I'm a beginner to scenery design, but I have read the Beginner's Guide. When flying VFR with the default MSFS2004 scenery it is difficult to navigate using real-world charts or maps, because the scenery lacks of details and contains failures.Instead of installing more accurate scenery add-ons I wounder if it would be possible to derrive VFR charts from the default scenery. It is already made in e.g. FSNavigator, however, it lacks of details like roads, railroads etc.I have tried LWMViewer which can export the source code of the bgl files (it must be possible to write a program that interprets these data). The tool captures the following useful VTP and LWM elements: Airports, navaids, bridges, power cables, railroads, coastlines etc. However, I miss the following elements:- land classifications (cities, forest, farmland etc.)- a bridge in the 9.1 update (N55* 19.33' E10* 58.62')With respect to land classifications I have tried several tools, but none that was able to import from the default scenery. Any suggestions?Any suggestions in general how to derrive VFR charts from the default scenery?RegardsJes
