dirt road textures

Featured Replies

Hi,I'm looking for a little direction. I looked all over the forums but couldn't find an answer to my question.I have Ultimate Terrain installed with FS2004. While VFR flying over the Mojave Desert in California (where there are numerous small dirt roads), Ultimate Terrain displays them as bland, light-grey textures that are *very* hard to discern from the air.I assume that UT or FS2004 breaks down roads into different categories, and renders each in different textures. So, how can I make dirt roads appear with realistic textures? Do I need to create my own replacement textures, or are there some default FS2004 dirt-road textures I can use? Then, how do I programmatically replace UT's dirt-road textures with my own? Do I mess with the terrain.cfg file? I'm fairly new to this. Thanks a bunch!
